Latex Mattresses Or Memory Foam Mattresses? Which One To Buy?

In the world of memory foam versus latex foam mattress, you want to be aware of the differences.  Yet even those memory mattresses that are promoted as green will have substantial differences between them too, so as you go shopping, you must do a large amount of enquiry before you commit to buying a particular one.  Buying a king memory foam mattress or a latex foam mattress is a major financial investment, hard to undo, so the last thing you need is to discover is that you have purchased the incorrect one after you have paid so much money.

Latex mattresses are made either from the sap of rubber trees or else with man-made, petrochemicals substances, and sometimes these two kinds are mixed into one mattress.  Since a completely natural latex froth mattress is terribly dear, the mixing is usually a cost-saver.  But it’s’s also done because natural latex may be less comfy, whereas petrochemicals provide extra softness and give.  However it isn’t always critical to use such chemicals because a latex mattress can also be made more relaxed with the infusion of natural oils and plant extracts.

A latex mattress is formed in one of 2 ways.  With the Standard method, the rubber sap is whipped into a froth, to fill it with the air bubbles that give memory foam its unique characteristics.  After the whipped substance is sealed in a mold, it’s heated and cured into finished form.  The Talalay method adds thousands of pin-like spikes to the mold, making channels for the air bubbles and making the final latex froth mattresses more buoyant and adaptable.  Both these processes can use blended froth, though, so you’ll need to research further if you are concerned about eco-friendly mattresses.

Nor is each latex mattress necessarily organic, so which will be the main certification to check out.  If a mattress is just labeled’natural’ or’green,’ it may still contain some synthetic materials.  Having actual’organic’ certification {, however ,} should mean that all materials used will be completely natural, and chemical and pesticide-free.

You must be sure to do all the research required before you buy a new mattress.  Even labels that appear to meet your own high ecological standards might be’fudging’ the facts a bit where apparently’green’ products still contain petrochemicals.  And foreign manufacturers would possibly not be as reliable as you had hoped.  If you find out all of the info you can about organic latex mattress and memory foam mattresses before you head out on your shopping expedition, then you should be able to make a much more informed decision, with all the facts at your disposal.
