Wood tables, whether or not old or new, may generally be painted any color you choose. Painting a wood table shouldn’t  take more than only a couple of hours. Making ready the table can take as long, if not longer, than the painting itself; sensible preparation is fully necessary for the paint to adhere properly and look good. 

Spread a drop cloth on the ground and place the table on the cloth. This can shelter your floor from paint and primer drips.

Sand the whole tabletop together with a coarse-grained paper, followed by a fine-grained sandpaper. Wipe the tabletop down along with a cloth and then turn the table the other way up thus it rests on its top. Sand down every table leg. Wipe the legs off together with a cloth, or brush them off along with a dry paint brush. Put on protective glasses plus a mask and spray an even coat of primer on the legs. Open plus stir the paint. Once the primer has dried, paint a thin coat of paint on each table leg, 1 leg at a time. Let the paint dry totally prior to applying the subsequent coat. 

Be care when you flip the table to the upright position. Clean the dirt off the tabletop along with a clean cloth. Spray the top plus edges with primer. When spraying corners close to the table legs, hold a bit of cardboard under the lip of the tabletop to forestall primer from getting on the freshly-painted legs. Stir the paint once more together with a wood stirrer. Dip the comb plus paint the good surface of the table. Paint a really thing coat with the grain of the wood. Gently sand the first, dried coat of paint with fine-grained paper. This will help the second coat stick best and take away minor paint imperfections. Wipe off the dirt along with a cloth plus paint a second coat. Repeat the method and add a 3rd coat of paint if two coats don’t achieve the look you want.
